Wow! We are thrilled that after much prayer we are approved and on our way to adopting our daughter from China. It is hard to believe that one day we will travel to China to bring her home from one of the provinces in the map above. We received a very long email with a lot of attachments to get started with. There are forms that need to be signed, notarized, and sent back. There is a nice flow chart of how the process will go. It has listed for these first couple of weeks to start working on this:

It is very daunting to say the least. We are going to take it step by step and try not to get overwhelmed. We are what they call in the adoption world "paperchasing".
We went to dinner to celebrate our approval and to tell Blake and Barrett the good news. When we told Blake he said in an excited voice "for real?". We talked about names (which Blake contributed Baker and Barley). We told him we would consider those :)
We are thrilled and nervous that what we have prayed about for so long is really here. Please continue to pray for us as we work through our paperchase!

I am so excited for y'all!! I know that this is something that you have really felt led to do, and now you are achieving it!! We are very excited and as always, will keep you in our prayers!

It happened so fast...God is amazing! Your daughter will be so thrilled to know that you were celebrating her before she was ever conceived! I am praying for the health of your daughter as God prepares her for you!

Do not worry about your checklist. Take it one step at a time, knowing God is leading you and not giving you too much to handle, now or at any point in this long process. If we can help in any way, just let us know.
Tommy and I are so excited for your family as you work your way through this journey...God could not have placed this desire in the hearts of better or more faithful parents...you were meant to do this, and I think about the day we will all meet your new daughter...we will continue to pray for you guys...love you....
We are so excited for you all. She is already so loved. What more could any little girl ask for? We can't wait to watch and wait with you on this amazing journey!
