We Made It to Chicago

1 plane ride down, 6 more to go until we are back home! After a 2 hour delay at the airport, we were finally on our way. The pilots heard that it was Blake's first plane ride, so they let him go into the cockpit and showed him all the bells and whistles. They were so friendly and funny. During the flight, the flight attendant brought Blake a freshly baked cookie and a set of American Airlines wings in honor of his first flight. I have a great fear of flying, so really no flight is good to me, but this flight was uneventful, so I will classify it as good. Blake did great on the take off. He didn't like when we started descending for the landing because it was giving him a headache and making him uncomfortable. He worked in his journal that Mrs. Simmons made for him and he also read some books to me during the flight. He drew a picture of th plane and wrote about his favorite part of the plane ride. It was so cold when we landed in Chicago. The airport was so busy after being shut down for awhile due to weather. We had to stand what felt like forever to wait for our hotel shuttle to come get us. We ate dinner around 10 and then both boys fell asleep shortly after. I am emotionally drained and exhausted so I am headed to sleep myself. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!! It means so much to us to know that so many people are praying us through this journey.

Thank goodness for the flight tracker. We watched your plane the entire time. The pilots were so nice to take you around the storms. Cade finally fell asleep after I told him you txt...even though we saw the plane land. 1 down 6 to go. You will be a pro by the time you come home. We all love you!!!!!!

Glad that Blake was able to have such a neat experience! A first wonderful memory on this planes, trains, and automobiles journey to Brynn!
